Delete triangles

Description

Deleting triangles allows you to remove unwanted surface areas for calculations or visualizations.

Functionality

Deleted triangles can be restored at any time and are therefore only removed temporarily. The view of the terrain is ideal for using the function.

If the triangulation is recalculated, e.g. by inserting additional height points (see Add elevation pointswhich affect the exchanged triangles, the changes are discarded.

Individually

Description

The manual deletion of individual triangles enables them to be removed by clicking on the triangle to be deleted. The view should be on From above can be set.

Application

  1. In the DTM tree, mark the triangulation from which triangles are to be removed and call with the right mouse button Delete triangles> Single .
  2. After calling the function, you can remove the corresponding triangles by clicking on them in the drawing.
  3. After confirmation with Enter or the right mouse button terminates the function.

Several

Description

This function enables the deletion of multiple triangles along a polyline. The view should be on From above can be set.

Application

  1. In the DTM tree, mark the triangulation from which triangles are to be removed and call with the right mouse button Delete triangles> Multiple .
  2. After calling the function, draw a polyline over the triangles to be deleted.
  3. After confirmation with Enter or the right mouse button terminates the function and all triangles that touch the polyline are deleted.

Inside area

Description

This function enables the deletion of several triangles within a polyline. The view should be on From above can be set.

Application

  1. In the DTM tree, mark the triangulation from which triangles are to be removed and call with the right mouse button Delete triangles> Inside area .
  2. After calling the function, you draw an automatically closed polyline around the triangles to be deleted.
  3. After confirmation with Enter or the right mouse button terminates the function and all triangles that lie completely within the polyline are deleted.

Outside area

Description

This function enables the deletion of multiple triangles outside a polyline. The view should be on From above can be set.

Application

  1. In the DTM tree, mark the triangulation from which triangles are to be removed and call with the right mouse button Delete triangles> Outside area .
  2. After calling the function, you draw an automatically closed polyline around the triangles that are not to be deleted.
  3. After confirmation with Enter or the right mouse button terminates the function and all triangles that lie completely outside the polyline are deleted.

Restore some

This function restores individual deleted triangles. To do this, click in the area of the triangle to be restored.

Restore all

This function restores all changes to exchanged and deleted triangles. Whereas the function Recalculate in dialogue Quick-DTM (AutoCAD based) try as much as possible to keep the exchanged triangles.
