Upload data to AutoTURN Online

Command: DFATOPUBLISH

Description

Upload drawing objects and background images to AutoTURN Online in order to create the drag curve simulation based on them.

Features

After calling the function Upload data to AutoTURN Online you have the option of transferring drawing objects and a background image to AutoTURN Online.

  1. Choose whether you want to create a new drawing or whether you want to add the data to an existing drawing.
  2. In the area More settings make a selection of the data to be uploaded.
  3. Confirm your selection with [OK]. The data is uploaded to AutoTURN Online.

Send to AutoTURN Online

In the area Send to AutoTURN Online can either be a new drawing created at AutoTURN Online or a existing drawing be replaced.

If you want to create a new drawing with AutoTURN Online, you can assign a name in the field or use the drawing name.
If an existing drawing is to be replaced, you can select the drawing to be replaced in the selection field.
The list with the drawings can be opened with the button updated. You also have the option of viewing the selected drawing using the button to be viewed and edited in AutoTURN Online (see Work with AutoTURN Online).

More settings

In the area More settings get involved background image and the Drawing objects to be transferred to AutoTURN Online.
If you want to transfer a background image to AutoTURN Online, you can use the button choose picture select in the drawing.
There are three options for choosing the drawing objects to be uploaded:

All objectsAll drawing objects of the drawing are transferred.
All objects on a specific layerThe drawing objects that are on the selected layer are transferred.
Object selectionThe drawing objects that are selected in the drawing are transferred.

Work with AutoTURN Online

You can generate the drag curve analysis either as a curve travel simulation or as a route guidance simulation.

In the browser window you can see the data that you have transferred to AutoTURN Online.
The browser window is structured as follows:
On the right edge is the general toolbar, in the middle is the Simulation area and below is the AutoTURN online toolbar.

With the button [OK] the simulation is completed and the function for Insert the simulation into the drawing open.

General toolbar

These tools provide access to general functions such as drawing, measuring, zooming and scaling.

Draw a polylineCreate a polyline with connected straight line and arc segments that serve as path elements for vehicle simulations.
To switch between a straight line and an arc, right-click and then use the context menu.

Generate curve travel simulation

A curve simulation draws a path using the properties and orientation of the currently selected vehicle. With this flexible simulation you can draw in real time and try out the different possibilities.

  1. Click the button Create curve travel simulation.
  2. Set the starting point and the angle of the vehicle with one click and then move the mouse. Click to create vertices along the path and use the mouse to define the direction of travel.
  3. To end the simulation, either right-click and select break up or you choose break up in the menu.
  4. If you want to start over, right-click the simulation path and click Delete.

Further commands such as move are available on the right mouse button.

Generate route guidance simulation

For a route simulation you need a predefined path that the selected vehicle can follow.

  1. There should be a single polyline in the drawing to serve as a path.
  2. Click the tool Route simulation create.
  3. Select the polyline.
  4. Click to define the direction of the vehicle.
  5. If you click again, the route simulation is generated along the polyline.
