Documentation functions

There may be discrepancies between the actual quantity of objects and the arithmetic evidence with formulas for a quantity verification (documented quantity). This is not due to errors within the program, but is due to the use of the formulas. There may be deviations if rounded partial areas are added up, the formulas give imprecise results due to the object (pointed triangles) or approximation formulas are used.

The value stored in the options for the permissible deviation in percent indicates this fact as soon as the documentation is created. But the drawing can also be examined afterwards.

It is called up in the mass tree of the Object Manager using the right mouse button in the context menu Documentation > Testing. A dialog opens in which the parameters for the check can be set. You can either look for a percentage deviation search or it can be a absolute value can be entered.

After confirming with [OK] the drawing is examined and deviating objects in the SearchDialog listed.

The objects are displayed in the dialog with the determined deviation. If the object is in SearchDialog is marked, it is automatically activated in the mass tree. Now you can in the tab Documentation Changes are made to achieve a desired result. Possible changes would be, for example, changing the documentation method, manual reworking, deactivating the simplification.

This function recalculates all objects in the mass tree. This can be useful if, for example, the calculation routines in the program have changed.

The call is made via the Tools in the context menu of the mass tree or in the group of the info dialog. The quantities are then recalculated.

Calling this function resets the position of the documentation texts.
