If you can choose between a 32- or 64-bit operating system, you should always choose the 64-bit variant. You benefit from increased system performance, especially with extensive calculations and demanding graphics.

32-bit operating system:

• Windows 7 / 8.1 (except RT) / 10 (except Mobile and 10X) and the latest service pack for the operating systems.
• Processor: at least Intel Core 2 Duo with at least 3,0 GHz (better Intel i5)
• Memory: 4 GB

General information about the server:

The DATAflor BUSINESS Software can be installed as a Peer2Peer system or as a server + workstation. With the Peer2Peer installation there is no additional server, but a workstation acts as a server and workstation. This solution can have a performance impact. For reasons of speed and data security, we recommend a correct server / client network installation from the 3rd workstation onwards. The address space for the network addresses must be configured according to IP V4.

• Internet access (Support tool for contact with the DATAflor Hotline / use of DATAflor Online service / access to updates)

Installation

• Administrator rights are generally required to install updates and patches. If you do not have administrator rights on a workstation / terminal server, you can manually add the patch installations as a task or service. Network:

• We recommend fixed cabling (1000 MBit) for the network
• A W-LAN is particularly insufficient for replication
• A remote desktop connection is required to work via VPN. A direct connection to the DATAflor BUSINESS-Client via VPN is not released

Graphic:

• Graphics resolution at least 1280 * 768 (recommended 1280 * 1024), true color
• small fonts

Printer:

• Laser printer PCL 5e or 6
• for fast and high quality output of texts
• Color printer for plant images and image processing
• A separate consultation is required for the use of dot matrix printers
• To set up printing in networks, full access rights to the printer must be available

Microsoft Office software:

For the connection of the BUSINESS-Addresses to the Outlook contacts and the follow-up to the Outlook tasks, the desktop version of Microsoft Office from version 2007 is required. We recommend the 32-bit variant.

The program documentation is only available digitally (online help). It can also document content that is not part of the program. Printed manuals are not available.
