Spline in arcs

Command: SEGS

Description

With this command you can derive arcs with a certain percentage deviation from rounded polylines or from splines. Since no radius dimensioning can be generated for splines, this is important, for example, for the documentation of free forms (path courses or water surfaces) if these are to be measured into a drawing.

Application

  1. After the command call, you will be prompted to select the appropriate objects .
  2. In the following you have to enter the maximum deviation in percent that the new polygon course to be created may have from the original.

  3. When confirming the entry with Enter or the right mouse button, you will be asked whether you want to delete the old elements. After selecting the option (Ja or No), the changes are made and the new objects are inserted into the drawing. The new objects are polylines.

When entering a very small factor (e.g. 0.001%) the calculation may take longer.
