Create objects

The following options are available to create new objects:

Select objects

With the function Choose object you can add objects to the currently selected group in the drawing by selecting them. The command can also be called up with the right mouse button.

Closed polylines are recorded as areas. Lines or polylines that are closed by an object snap are recorded as segments. Over the window Features (Select objects> right mouse button> properties) you can close many polylines at the same time.

If more than 1 object is selected in a work step, it is possible to use the objects in the Mass tree automatically sorted according to layer affiliation. Here, additional groups are created below the activated group that bear the name of the layer.

Derive contours

By function Derive contour the selected objects are connected with the help of contour tracing and inserted into the mass tree as one object. (please refer Contours and objects).

The derivation of the contour corresponds to the command in terms of functionality and mode of operation CONTOUR. When working with the contour derivation it is therefore essential to observe the specifications for this command (see Contours).

With the option disabled closed, a route can also be derived from closed objects.

When creating contour objects, contour line objects are automatically created and inserted into the drawing after they have been derived. This is advantageous because, when the original objects change, you can immediately see whether the contour derivation is being tracked correctly. The default layer is 0_ContourLine. The contour lines represent their own objects and can also be used as objects in the Quick-Masses be recorded.

When capturing neighboring areas, it makes sense to add the contour lines deactivate, since otherwise a recording of the already created contour lines is offered. The layer 0_ContourLine be frozen. Alternatively, you can control the visibility (see Features).
