System Requirements BUSINESS 2024

The following hardware and software is necessary or recommended for working with the program:

For DATAflor BUSINESS A 64-bit operating system is required.

64-bit operating system:

• Windows 10 (except Mobile and 10X)/ 11 and the latest service pack of the operating systems.
• Processor: at least Intel Core 2 Duo with at least 3,0 GHz (better Intel i5)
• (ARM processors are not supported)
• Memory: 4 GB better 8 GB
• 15 GB free hard disk space (DATAflor Recommendation: SSD hard drive)

32-bit operating system:

• Only 64-bit systems are required.

64-bit operating system:

• Windows 10 / 11 (Pro & Enterprise) (except Mobile and 10X) and the latest service pack of the operating systems.
• Processor: at least Intel i5
• The use of a PC with an ARM processor as a client is possible with reservations. These systems have not been sufficiently tested to give an unrestricted release.
• Memory: 8 GB
• 10 GB free hard disk space (DATAflor Recommendation: SSD hard drive)

32-bit operating system:

• Only 64-bit systems are required.

• Memory: 4 GB /Users
• Processor: 3 users / core

General information about the server:

The DATAflor BUSINESS Software can be installed as a Peer2Peer system or as a server + workstation. With the Peer2Peer installation there is no additional server, but a workstation functions as a server and workstation. This solution can have a performance impact. For reasons of speed and data security, we recommend a correct server / client network installation from the 3rd workstation. The address space for the network addresses must be configured according to IP V4. It is recommended to provide the server with a fixed IP address.

Server hardware minimum:

• Processor: at least Intel i5

• We recommend the use of a RAID system for reliability

To use the DATAflor Apps require a server installation. Individual workstations can be configured for a server installation with a special server package. Please note the separate system requirements for the DATAflor Apps.

• Free space in the temporary folder of about 1.50 GB
• 10 GB free hard disk space on drive C
• Microsoft Internet Explorer 10.0 or higher
• Internet access (support tool for contacting the DATAflor Hotline / access to upgrades)
• recommended: anti-virus program
• Recommended: External data backup on USB hard drives

Installation:

• Administrator rights are generally required for new installations and installation of upgrades.
• To download upgrades, updates and patches, the version manager server requires access via the firewall ftp://cadupdates.dataflor.de. No special rights are required to install patches.

Firewall and domains:

• Um DATAflor-Apps, as well as the digital inbox, to be able to fully use it, access via the firewall to the following domains is required. If access to one of these domains is not possible, it may be the case DATAflorprograms and DATAflor-Apps have problems with data transmission.

• If your firewall is controlled by a virus protection program or other third-party software, the following ports are also required:
  • You can do this via Windows Defender Firewall DATAflor View stored incoming rules. Transfer the rules for ports and protocols stored here to the third-party software.

Network:

• We recommend fixed cabling for the network and assume a transmission rate of 1 GBit / s.
• A W-LAN is particularly insufficient for replication
• A remote desktop connection is required to work via VPN. A direct connection to the DATAflor BUSINESS-Client via VPN is not released
• Working with a client installed on the server using a remote maintenance tool (e.g. Teamviewer) is not possible. Please use a remote desktop connection (RDP) to the server for this.
• For the use of more than one workstation on a terminal server, a BUSINESS- License extension necessary

Graphic:

• Graphics resolution at least 1280 * 768 (recommended 1280 * 1024), true color
• small fonts

Printer:

• Laser printer PCL 5e or 6
• Color printer for plant images and image processing
• A separate consultation is required for the use of dot matrix printers
• To set up printing in networks, full access rights to the printer must be available
• DATAflor provides an internal PDF printer for adding documents to the construction file and as an additional printer (DATAflor Document Printer). Please note that this is not available on computers with a server operating system and for other applications.

Scanner:

• TWAIN-enabled scanner
• TWAIN 2.1 compliant driver

E-mail:

• MAPI-capable email software (e.g. Outlook, Thunderbird, TOBIT-David)

Microsoft Office software: For the connection of the BUSINESS-Addresses to the Outlook contacts and the resubmission to the Outlook tasks is the Desktop variant Microsoft Office from version 2013 required.
It is not possible to use the e-mail transfer to the Office 365 app variant. Please use the desktop version.

Documentation and online help: The program documentation is only available digitally (online help). The online help can also contain content that is not part of the program. Printed manuals are not available.
