Causes and possible solutions in the event of a failed import attempt

Description

This page lists possible causes that are preventing files from being successfully imported into your digital inbox. In addition, possible solutions are described that you can carry out independently and immediately.

If you cannot solve your problem with any of the options described, request the file from the sender again.

Task with a red error symbol

When importing a file via the Windows file selection dialog, by drag & drop or by scanning a paper document, a task with a red error symbol is displayed in the task overview after 180 seconds. When hovering over the task with the mouse, the tool tip appears: “Import failed: no response from DATAflor Receive workflow service from your server ”is displayed.

a) Wait and see - The service only sends its response about the successful import after the imported file has been processed (conversion to PDF file, adding a text layer, field recognition). The processing time depends on the number of pages in the imported file and the Internet speed. When importing a large file, simply wait until the DATAflor Workflow service has completed processing. If necessary, check the speed of the Internet connection on the server.

b) Check service - Open the Task Manager on your server and check on the tab serviceswhether the DATAflor Workflow service in status Is running is located. If not, please start the service. If the service is running, please restart it and try to import the file into your digital inbox again.
