If you can choose between a 32- or 64-bit operating system, you should always choose the 64-bit variant. You benefit from increased system performance, especially with extensive calculations and demanding graphics.

General information about the server:

The DATAflor BUSINESS Software can be installed as a peer2peer system or as a server + workstation. With the Peer2Peer installation there is no additional server, but a workstation acts as server and workstation. There may be performance degradation with this solution. For reasons of speed and data security, we recommend a correct server/client network installation from the 3rd workstation. The address space according to IP V4 must be configured for the network addresses.

• Internet access (email contact with the DATAflor Hotline / use of DATAflor Online service / access to online hotfixes and updates)

Network:

• We recommend fixed cabling with 100/1000 Mbit for the network
• A W-LAN is particularly insufficient for replication

Graphic:

• Graphic resolution at least 1280*768, True Color
• small fonts

Printer:

• Laser printer PCL 5e or 6 - for fast and high-quality output of texts
• Color printer for plant images and image processing
• A separate consultation is required for the use of dot matrix printers
• To set up printing in networks, full access rights to the printer must be available

Microsoft Office software:

For the DATAflor It is possible to register an add-in for Outlook. Please note that the 64-bit version of Microsoft Office must also be installed on 32-bit computers. For connecting the BUSINESS-Addresses Microsoft Office version 2007 or higher is required for Outlook contacts and follow-up to Outlook tasks. The Microsoft products Office 365 are not supported.

The program documentation is only available digitally (online help). It can also document content that is not part of the program. Printed manuals are not available.
