Allocate resources

You can optionally assign individual employees or devices to your construction sites and work packages. In addition, teams can be flexibly put together and saved as a template for new construction projects.

Allocate individual resources

You distribute your resources to the individual construction sites using drag & drop.

Highlight on the tab Resources, the resource you need and drag it onto the construction site or the work package while holding down the left mouse button.

Then set the desired time period for your resource. To do this, move the mouse over the left or right edge of the resource and, holding down the left mouse button, drag it to the desired start or end date.

To move the entire resource, click on the resource with the mouse and, holding down the left mouse button, drag it within the construction site to the desired period.

Alternatively, you can enter the time period for your resource in the dialogs Edit employees and Edit device establish. This is particularly recommended for resources that will be used over a longer period of time.

First open the dialog by double-clicking the resource or right-clicking in the context menu and selecting the entry Edit. Use the fields to determine From, Calendar days and Bis the planned time period of your resource.

If you mark resources that are already available in the planning, the resources that are no longer available for this period are grayed out and placed at the end of the resource list.
If you have a license for the DATAflor HR manager the absence times entered there are also taken into account in the resource list.

First, mark an individual resource on the Resources tab and drag it, as described above, to the relevant construction site while holding down the left mouse button.

Now select another resource and drag it directly onto the first resource. Your two individual resources are now automatically combined into a team.

Add more team members by dragging them directly onto the team head.

Replace team members by dragging them directly onto the resource to be replaced.

You can not only equip your teams with resources from the resource list, but also add resources that have already been used in the planning to your team.

You can also replace team members with resources that have already been used in the planning by pressing and holding down Alt-Button directly to the resource of your team to be replaced.

From the symbol used in the team header, you can see how many employees belong to the team and whether they have devices, even when it is collapsed.

conflicts

The DATAflor Construction site manager has an automatic conflict detection. Conflicts always arise when resources (employees, equipment and teams) are scheduled on several construction sites at the same time.

Show conflicts

When you plan your deployment, duplicate bookings or bottlenecks due to absences are automatically displayed as conflicts. You can recognize conflicts immediately by the red signal color.

For more information about the conflict, select the relevant resource. Below the tabs Resources and Details you will now see more details about your conflicts.
The table lists the sites and resources that are causing the conflict elsewhere in Site Manager. With a double click on the table entry you can switch to the resource of the respective construction site.

If you have a license for the DATAflor HR manager the absence times entered there are also taken into account in the conflict detection. You can recognize this by the name Absent.
