Lift objects onto the surface

Description

With this option drawing elements can be raised or projected onto a DTM surface. The result depends on the type of drawing elements:

Points and blocks: Points are interpolated in the respective triangle or square of the terrain and then set at this height. The height of the block insertion point (base point) is determined as with points and raised to the terrain.

Linear elements (Lines, polylines, circles, arcs, etc.): New vertex points (pick points) are inserted into the drawing elements at the points of intersection (in plan view) of the selected drawing element with the surface. The drawing elements are then raised to the level of the surface and cling to the terrain surface like a rubber band.

Application

  1. Mark the desired surface (triangulation or grid) in the Quick-DTM and call it with the right mouse button More tools> Lift objects onto the surface .
  2. After calling the function, you can select the objects that you want to lift onto the surface.
  3. After confirmation with [OK] the objects are lifted.

AutoCAD solid objects (such as the cuboid) cannot be lifted. This is because the objects have more than one vertex. One possible approach is to create a block from the object. Thus there is only one support point (base point of the block) and the object can be lifted.
