geodimeter

Command: GEODIMETER

Description

With the command GEODIMETER a ASCIIFile in DATAflor CAD read in, which was created with a total station from Geotronics. There is no predefined file extension, as different extensions for Geotronics files can occur. In the files, the various sentence elements are distinguished from one another by two-digit numerical abbreviations, the so-called labels. Valid abbreviations for DATAflor CAD are:

0Information
4Point coding
5Target point number
37X coordinate
38Y coordinate
39Z coordinate
90Freely definable

Desired comments can be assigned to a point via the label 0.

The manufacturers are constantly developing their data formats. Different devices from one manufacturer can have different configurations and options. It is therefore imperative that you hand it over to the before purchasing a total station DATAflor Test CAD with demo data.

Application

  1. After calling up the command, a file selection window appears in which the measurement file to be imported is selected. To do this, change to the appropriate directory and confirm the file selection with [To open].
  2. In dialogue Total station data preview can the Configuration via the menu Options be adjusted. The menu encoding opens the possibility to make changes regarding the point import.
In the area Point groups the measured points or polygons, circles etc. are listed with their names according to the assigned coding in the following order: Cross or no cross (geometry is inserted or not inserted), coding name, geometry, layer name.
  3. At the same time, the preview of the allowance is inserted in the current drawing. By default, all points are marked on An set - that is, the objects are shown in the preview of the drawing.
  4. If the entries in the window of the Point groups If you clicked, the associated points or polygons are highlighted in red in the drawing. In the area Point list the data of the individual points of the geometries are displayed. Order: point number, X value, Y value, Z value, point code digits 1-4
  5. All point groups that are left with X are marked are inserted in the drawing. If individual elements are not to be inserted, mark them and the option Visible must be deactivated - the X will then disappear.
  6. If the dialogue with [OK] is confirmed, the selected settings of the geometries and points are inserted into the current drawing.

Features

In the middle area of the dialog there are 3 options for controlling the creation of drawing elements.

Generate point symbolsVia the option Generate point symbols can be controlled whether only purely graphic information (lines, arcs, circles, ...) or points with labels (DATAflor Text label) are to be generated.

This option is for the graphic type Punkt already activated. For other graphic types, such as polygons and circles, this option is deactivated by default.

Create 2D pointsWith the option Create 2D points all objects (points, graphics and text) in the drawing are copied with the Height 0.00 inserted. Via the menu Options > Configuration however, the original Z-height can be entered. This is useful if you are not working with the digital terrain model, but only want to create a plan view or a site plan.
VisibleThe option Visible controls the transfer of the point groups into the drawing. Visible elements are in the area Point groups marked with an X If a point group is set to invisible, the X disappears and the point group is not transferred to the drawing during import. Presetting is visible for all point groups.
