Calculate the slope

Command: EMBANKMENT

Description

The command modeling enables the exact calculation of the course of the embankment, which is also integrated into the triangulation, ie the terrain is actively changed. The BOESCHUNG command is used as a preliminary stage, planning aid and to generate line courses, which can then be defined as models yourself. A slope course on a surface or a fixed height can be calculated from any drawing object.

Application

  1. The drawing object, which is to serve as the basis for the calculation, must first have the correct height profile (see Edit the course of the line and Raise / lower objects).
  2. After the command has been called, first the object and then the calculation page must be selected.
  3. In the dialog you can now choose between the reference surface (triangulation) and a fixed height. In addition to the selection for Layer and Color the calculation parameters (for increasing and falling) to adjust.
  4. With [Take over] the new line is generated. By changing the calculation parameters and again [Take over] another line is created.
  5. With [Choose object] a new object or the same object and the other calculation side can be selected.
  6. With [The End] the dialog is closed.

Example

In this example, several possible slope courses were calculated for road planning. The starting object itself cannot be seen because it is below the triangulation (blue line).
