Reduce image color

Command: IMGCOLOR

Description

This command can be used to reduce the color depth of images in order to reduce the amount of data and thus also the memory requirement. Only one conversion is possible at a time.

Application

  1. After calling the command, select one or more images in the drawing.
  2. In dialogue Convert color areas select the color range you want.
  3. With [OK] accept the selection and the changed image is displayed in the drawing.

Features

IndexedReduces the color depth to 256 colors and saves the change in a new one PNG-File
shades of greyReduces the color depth to 256 shades of gray and saves the change in a new one PNG-File
BinaryReduces the color depth to 2 colors (black / white) and saves the change in a new one BMP-File

You can change the color of the picture. To do this, select a different color for the layer on which the image is located.

When converting the images, the original image is not changed, but a copy is created. The picture in the drawing now automatically refers to the newly created picture file.

The copies are automatically saved where the original images are. If this is not possible due to restricted rights, the copy is stored in the directory of the drawing file.
