Data Backup

Description

Regular backup of your in DATAflor BUSINESS stored data has two important tasks:

  • Ensuring the data security of the data you have collected in order to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
  • In the event of data loss, the possibility of restoring data from the backup copy and thus reducing the damage incurred

The user is always responsible for proper, flawless data backup! Make sure that the data backup was carried out completely and without errors.

Please note that a data backup on a hard disk is not sufficient, since in the event of a disk crash (hard disk defect) your data backup will no longer be readable.

Always back up your data on multiple external backup media or in the cloud. A local copy is recommended for cloud backups.
A data backup on a mirrored hard drive in the PC is not enough!

There are different backup media that are offered. This includes:

  • external hard drives
  • Tape drives (streamers)

Change your external backup media every day and keep them in different places. This is to protect against theft, fire and water damage.

Use for your data backup nie just a backup tape, use it at least alternate three tapes or (if there is a large amount of data, one for each day of the week) and perform a weekly and monthly backup.

When using three bands, please use the so-called Generation principle on. Back up today on volume A, tomorrow on volume B, the day after tomorrow on volume C. Then start again with volume A. In this way, if a tape is defective, you still have an older backup that you can fall back on.

Our service staff will be happy to answer any questions you may have at any time. Let us advise you in detail about the systems that are suitable for you and your company. To do this, send us a request via the Support tool. Always keep in mind that in the event of a problem we can set up your program again, but without data backup your data will be lost.
