Processing aids

This chapter gives you an overview of the various tools that are available to you in the DATAflor BUSINESS Software for LV processing are available.

  • Overview - Tabular overview of all positions in the course
  • Change course structure - Change the ordinal number scheme of the course
  • Renumber LV - Automatically assign new item numbers
  • Edit quantities - Edit the calculation of the item quantities and the quantity estimate
  • Editor - Edit text in position text and information fields
  • Text constants - Use predefined text constants in text and information fields
  • units - Use predefined units of measure in text and information fields
  • calculator - use the calculator in numeric fields

In the overview of the LV processing, the positions and hierarchies are shown in a table. In this table you can edit the item quantities, units of measure, unit prices and total amounts of the items.

Select the entry in the position tree positions or a hierarchy and open the tab on the right side of the screen Overview.

  • By default, the quantities and amounts are displayed with the number of decimal places that are part of the LV in the Course basic data on the tab Choice of standards is set.
  • If the number of decimal places has been increased for an item, the quantities and prices are displayed in the overview with the entered, non-rounded accuracy.

By default, the tab Overview all positions of the course grouped according to hierarchy levels are displayed.

In order to limit the view to the positions of a certain hierarchy, select the hierarchy in the position tree and activate it in the menu positions the switch Filter hierarchy.

By activating the switch sortable list in the menu positions all positions of the LV are displayed in a simple list without grouping according to hierarchies.

  • In this view, you can sort through all positions of the LV by clicking on a column header.
  • In addition, the filter function is available in selected columns so that, for example, only items with the SA indicator are displayed.

Change course structure

With the function Change course structure you can add hierarchy levels in existing courses, delete hierarchy levels, move positions and change the classification scheme with number of digits and increments later (see chapter Changes to the course structure). Changes made can be viewed at any time in a history.

The change in the course structure is however rather possible for:

  • LV associated with the CAD position coupling are connected
  • LV, for the one Proof of quantity according to REB 23.003 exists
  • LV, for the im Construction account bills available
  • LV, for the Post costing postings are recorded

Open the LV and click in the menu LV on .

The dialogue Edit course structure will be opened.

  • On the left-hand side, the LV with the existing hierarchy levels is shown as a directory tree (picture above).
  • On the right shows the tab existing course structure the currently set classification scheme.
  • Now you can on the left in the position tree Changes to the course structure make.
  • Then the program suggests on the tab new course structure a possible new organizational scheme. In addition, the classification scheme can be individually adapted here, e.g. hierarchy name, number of digits or step size (picture below).
  • Enable The option autom. numbering, all hierarchy levels and positions of the course will be renumbered when the new course structure is adopted.

Confirm your entries with [Take over].

The new course structure and the new classification scheme are adopted in the course. In addition, the course will be renumbered if necessary and always recalculated.

Renumber LV

If the item numbers have shifted during processing, this function gives you the opportunity to completely assign new numbers to the LV.

Open the menu within the course editing LV and select the entry Renumber.

Edit quantities

This function provides you with the following options for recalculating the LV quantity and the quantity:

  • Rounding according to the procedures: standard, rounding up and rounding down
  • Determining the number of decimal
  • Allowance for Surcharges and discounts
  • Acceptance of the LV quantity as a quantity or as an allowance

The function is via the entry Mengen in the menu LV called within the course processing.

The dialogue Edit quantities will be opened.

A detailed description of the available functions can be found on the Wiki page Edit quantities.

An editor is available in info or text fields with which you can change fonts and sizes. You can also insert texts from files and save them in BUSINESS Save created texts as files.

To call up the editor, place the mouse pointer in the info or text field and open the context menu via the right mousekey and select the entry Edit or alternatively double-click with the left mouse button.

The editor opens in a separate dialog.

The standard word processing functions are available in the editor, e.g. Fat, Italic, Underlined, Tabs, Find and replace words. Here is one too Spell Check is possible.

You can also use pre-made texts Insert from RTF files. To do this, open the menu in the editor File and select the entry Insert.

To insert pictures read chapter Images in long text.

Text constants

In the info and text fields you can, in the master data stored, Text constants insert.

To use text constants, position the mouse pointer in the info or text field where you want to insert the text constant and press your key combination. The following dialog opens.

To insert a stored text constant, press the associated one Hotkey. In the example (picture above) press the key 4to the text according to measurement sheet insert.

In the master data you can units which are available to you in info and text fields. You also define a function key for calling the units of measure.

To define or edit units of measure, open in Address manager in the menu Program data the selection menu Company and select the entry Company data.

To use the units of measure, position the mouse pointer in the info or text field where you want to insert the unit of measure and press your key combination. The following dialog opens.

To insert a stored unit of measure, press the corresponding one Hotkey. In the example (picture above) press the key 4to set the unit of measure kg insert.

In the Position data A pocket calculator is available to you in the numerical fields and for calculating the quantities.

The calculator is via the key combination Alt + T or a click with the right mouse button called on the numeric field.

The following arithmetic operations and constants can be used:
