The request code and the corresponding license are tied to one computer. Only use the license file on the computer on which the relevant request was made.

The license can be read in either directly in the program or via the license manager. At this point, reading in via the License manager described.

In your own interest, please check whether an up-to-date, complete data backup is available.

  2. Select in the menu License> New> Read in license.
  3. In the dialog that opens, select the appropriate file (*.LIC) and confirm your selection with [To open].
  4. After the successful import, you will receive a confirmation. The license is thus available for the workstation.

Transfer license

The license for a single workstation can be transferred to another computer using the license manager. The exchange between the computers can take place as often as required.

Make sure that the current license is used on both computers to transfer the license License manager installed. You can find this on our website in the area Service> Download> License management.

The source computer then no longer has a valid license and the target computer is activated.

How to proceed if you want to transfer a license:

  1. Open the DATAflor License Manager (Press Windows key> DATAflor Enter license manager> confirm with Enter key) on the Target computer (Computer to which the license is to be transferred).
  2. Now generate a license request. To do this, select in the menu License> License Transfer> Generate Request.
  3. Then select the program for which you want to request the license from the list.
  4. [To save] The request as a lrqFile on the hard drive. The default file name consists of the product name, date, time and user name.

Copy the lrq- Then transfer the file to the computer on which the license is located (e.g. using a USB stick).

  5. Start the DATAflor License manager on the workstation on which the license to be transferred is located. To do this, select in the menu License> License transfer> Transfer to another computer.
  6. [To open] The created and copied on the target computer lrq-File. (see point 4)
  7. You will now be asked to download the license file (*.lic) to save. Here, too, the specified file name is made up of the product name, date, time and user name. After this [To save] the license is no longer available on the original computer.

When saving the license file directly to a USB-Stick (Memory stick) it was observed several times that the license file could not be written correctly and was then defective. The license can therefore be “lost” under certain circumstances.

First save the license file on your hard drive, then copy it to the USB stick using Windows Explorer and then transfer the file to the target computer.

  8. On the target computer you can read this license via the DATAflor License manager one. [To open] To do this, the license file. (please refer Read in license). The license is now transferred.
