Store CAD user data in the network
Description
If you want to make the same user data available to all of your CAD workstations, you can store them in the network.
Libraries from the DATAflor Quick Manager (groups and palettes) as well as the user-defined configuration of the DATAflor Topic managers must be moved to the network separately from this (see below).
Database and network access
- All other computers must select the same network path via the database manager. The same content can then be accessed. If several CAD programs from DATAflor are installed, the user data can be merged, shared and adapted on all computers. Further information can be found in the chapter Database and network access.
Libraries from the DATAflor Place Quick-Manager in the network
- Define the master computer and import all the desired libraries, if necessary adjust them to suit the user.
- Right mouse button in the Quick Manager - Online libraries - Load / import groups,
- Reset other computers to the standard palettes (groups: Design, Views and Surfaces). Delete library entries that differ from the master computer. If content is to be retained, save / export the groups or palettes beforehand, if necessary.
- Enter the same network path that has already been defined in the Quick Manager on all other computers. The network groups of the master computer are then available for selection.
All adjustments in DATAflor Quick managers are only backed up when DATAflor CAD is closed and restarted.
Put the configuration from the Topic Manager (graphics and labeling) into the network
- Enter the same network path that has already been set in the Topic Manager on all other computers. The corresponding groups of the master computer are then available for selection. To do this, the topic manager must be called up again.
